    As both a creative director and copywriter, Robin has contributed to some of the world’s most best-known brands. His work has earned dozens of awards in both traditional and digital media including Clios and Cannes Lions. While at Chiat/Day in the 1980's, he created the NYNEX Yellow Pages "Human Cartoons" campaign, voted one of Adweek’s 25 Greatest Ad Campaigns. Today Robin is putting his energies towards helping shape social change by focusing on “citizen brands.” 2007 sees the launch of Citizen, a spin-off of Collaborate, the San Francisco agency he co-founded in 1999, with clients such as Amnesty International, Pabst Brewing Company, NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council), and Wal-Mart (sustainability program).

    Through Collaborate, Robin led the development of integrated campaigns for Franklin Templeton Investments, Gore-Tex, Logitech, Rock the Vote, and Seagate (Forbes Magazine “2005 Company of the Year”). In addition, his “Imagine” campaign for Amnesty International based on John Lennon’s classic song ran in more than 65 countries. Previously, Robin also founded DAWG (Digital Artists & Writers Group), a creative boutique specializing in digital media for clients such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, General Motors, Mastercard, and PBS, as well as Carroll Raj Stagliano, New York with clients such as Citibank and Guinness Brewing Company. Earlier, he also worked at Foote Cone and Belding and Hal Riney & Partners, San Francisco, creating campaigns for AT&T, Blitz-Weinhard Brewery, Levi's, Coors, Gallo, and VISA. In 1990, Robin was named to AdWeek's Creative All-Stars list.

    With over 10 years of on-the-ground and online campaign experience, Molly oversees program management and develops social media activation strategies for Citizen’s clients. In her prior work, Molly worked with the Berkeley-based Citizen Engagement Laboratory and managed a field office for the Obama for President campaign.

     

    She studied climate politics at the Breakthrough Institute, a progressive think tank, and recruited local governments to purchase and market clean energy as the State Director for the Pennsylvania Clean Energy Communities Campaign. In 2007, Molly was trained by Al Gore to give the Inconvenient Truth presentation. She later partnered with Free Range Studios to develop a multi-media high school assembly presentation that engages youth nationwide around climate solutions through animation, live action and story telling. Molly graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies.

    Kirsten brings her bright, elegant and refined sense of visual aesthetic to the Citizen Team. At Citizen, Kirsten works on array of projects from print, packaging, identity, web design, illustration and photography serving clients such as the World Wildlife Fund, Cisco WebEx, the San Francisco School Alliance, Mighty Leaf Tea, and Mezzetta Foods to name a few.

     

    Kirsten graduated from the Academy of Art University where she received her BFA in Graphic Design. Prior to joining the Citizen team, she interned for Williams Sonoma, worked as a photographer’s assistant and provided freelance design for a variety of clients.

    With over 20 years of agency experience, David oversees strategic and account management related activities for all Citizen clients. Since joining the Citizen team in 2007, David has lead the agency’s efforts for Amnesty International, University of California, and development of social action plan focused on promoting tolerance and diversity for USA Network. David has worked on a wide variety of client categories and maintains a strong strategic focus and dedication to building lasting relationships.

     

    Previously, David was Chief Strategist and head of account management at Maiden Lane in San Francisco for six years, overseeing that agency’s involvement with all of their clients. Before that, David was Director of Client Service for Katsin/Loeb, also in San Francisco, where he spearheaded activities for a number of brands, most notable, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Group, an account relationship he managed personally for 5+ years. Before moving to San Francisco in 1998, David was vp/group account director at Cole & Weber in Seattle where he oversaw specific account activity for Westin Hotels and Resorts, primarily directing activities for The Westin’s of Canada and system-wide new product launches; and Pyramid Ales and Lagers.

    Tu is a classically trained copywriter and web director with a particularly fondness toward new media. At Citizen, Tu serves a variety of clients including the United Nations, Amnesty International, Cisco WebEx, Mezzetta Foods, Pabst Brewing Company, Associação Portuguesa de Cortiça, USA Network, and the University of California.

     

    Previously, Tu worked at Yahoo's Brand Creative Group, working on an array of print, interactive and general brand work. He's also freelanced for Swirl Advertising, Collaborate and Ticketmaster working on such clients as Franklin Templeton Investments, Gamespot, Panda Express, Ticketetweb, and TV.com. Tu received his masters at the Academy of Art University where he currently teaches Interactive Advertising and other graduate level courses.

    Catherine is a passionate social entrepreneur devoted to building businesses and campaigns that make the world a better place. She has consulted for a variety of clients at the convergence of media, technology and activism - within the studio system (Miramax, Sony, Dreamworks, Participant Productions), television (BBC, Current TV, Discovery Channel, NOVA, Link TV) and beyond. She specializes in building pro-social businesses and cross-platform outreach campaigns.

     

    Most recently, before joining Citizen in her business development capacity, Catherine helped doubled the reach of Link TV, the largest independent television network in the country, through the co-creation of an online, open source content-sharing platform that has changed the way alternative media is distributed in the U.S. and abroad. Catherine enjoys the creativity involved in strategy and is skilled at managing operations that integrate all facets of execution. She received her degree from Emerson College in Media Arts/Political Communication & Law.

    With his award-winning background in creative development and film production, Steve Fong is a quintessential jack-of-all-trades. He’s also a strong advocate of merging traditional media with new media such as interactive and web-based content to form additional avenues of creative content to reach audiences in original and unexpected ways.

     

    At Citizen, and its predecessor agency Collaborate, Steve has created breakthrough work for Amnesty International, NRDC, Pabst Brewing Company, Logitech, Seagate, and University of California. Many of these projects, Steve has also directed; his film and TV projects have been represented by Copper Media in Hollywood and Washington Square Films in New York. Steve’s early career has spanned the country with stints at national agencies including BBDO New York, Chiat/Day, New York and FCB, San Francisco. Along the way he has won international awards for his creative work for consumer, B2B, and internal programs for clients as diverse as General Electric, Levis, Pepsi, Sega, Reebok, Fox Sports, Honda Automobiles, and Washington Mutual Bank.

    Chelsea is a designer with a unique sensibility for both right and left-brain thinking. She approaches every project with ideas not only about the appearance of the design, but all of the elements working together as a concept or experience. Prior to joining the Citizen team, Chelsea worked at an industry-leading agency in LA, designing for clients like Disney, FOX, Dish Network and Kohler, and was instrumental in the design for sites like AmericanIdol.com, FXNetworks.com and Disney's Family.com.

     

    She was a founding member and brand architect of a web/spinoff company and served as the lead designer of an Alexa top 100 video-sharing site. She has developed brand identities for clients like the Sacramento Public Library, Micke Grove Zoo and Google's Code Jam. Chelsea received her BFA in Graphic Design at the University of the Pacific, where she also received the award for Outstanding Senior in Graphic Design and the Department of Visual Arts award.

    Laurie is ambidextrous marketing executive. She happily splits her time between business development, brand strategy and media production. Laurie’s had experience in senior level roles where she’s developed and executed business, partnership, marketing, and production strategies for a variety of organizations including: Time Warner Brands, AOL/Netscape, News Corporation/20th Century Fox, PGE Park, The ALS Association, UCSF and Stanford Hospital and Clinics. She helped guided Netscape.com into the number one daytime work/home content destination, achieving the highest profit margin of all AOL online brands. At Fox and News Corp, she co-created an alternative television division based on an innovative, integrated marketing sponsorship model between brands and the television networks.

     

    She’s also been an award-winning media producer. At Stanford Hospital and Clinics she developed and produced projects that increased the use of key services in the cancer concierge and International medicine programs, while growing revenue and donor networks. Laurie has specialized training from the Foundation Center in non-profit development and grants, and The School of Visual Arts in production. She’s also an outdoor girl who loves playing outside with her family and is a nationally-recognized competitive swimmer.
